The NPD Group and Nielsen, leading market research companies, formed an agreement to jointly produce the most comprehensive review on the beauty market performance available to the industry currently, providing the only total market view spanning Prestige and Mass retail channels.

The Beauty Cross Channel Monitor combines point-of-sale data and market expertise from the 2 companies to provide a precise read on sales and trends of all beauty categories and market segments, including value sales, unit sales and average retail price, in addition to a ranking of the top brands and a ranking of the most dynamic players by channel.

This unique market view will allow marketers to better evaluate the performance of categories, segments, brands and market trends across major beauty distribution channels to better understand and respond to beauty market opportunities.
